All the furniture and wooden panels were crafted in a cohesive colour scheme that evokes the rich tones of milk chocolate. This soothing hue beautifully complements the white walls, enhancing the natural light that fills the space during the day. The vibrant yellow accents serve as a unifying element, connecting the hallway, living room and kitchen. The bright yellow squares in the corridors are both understated and striking, inviting exploration and adding character. Additionally, they eliminate the need for extra decor, which often clutters and collects dust, allowing the space to feel open and inviting.
Given the compact size of the apartment—just 56 square meters—one of the key challenges was to conceal all the necessary equipment, which was achieved through the use of multifunctional solutions. For instance, the hallway’s coat closet cleverly transforms into a technical storage closet, with one section housing a laundry. This entire modular unit seamlessly integrates with the kitchen, maximizing both functionality and space.
The kitchen seamlessly integrates with the living room, creating a spacious and inviting environment that perfectly complements the owners’ lifestyle. Whether they’re unwinding with a movie, engaging in conversation while dinner is prepared or working on laptops, the open layout enhances their daily activities.
Visually, the kitchen is elegantly defined by a rectangular niche featuring recessed rail lights in the ceiling, adding a subtle yet sophisticated touch. The niche boasts a sleek microcement finish, contrasting beautifully with the smooth plaster of the surrounding ceiling. The abundance of natural light flooding the space makes the striking black cabinetry in the kitchen and near the TV an ideal choice, providing bold accents that enhance the overall aesthetic. Additionally, the living room opens up to a terrace, further connecting the indoor and outdoor areas and maximizing the home’s appeal.
Already at the design phase, the team carefully considered the dog the homeowners intended to bring into their lives. As a result, every surface, including the flooring, was meticulously selected to ensure it was scratch-resistant. The photo session has already taken place, featuring the adorable and playful white Samoyed dog named Dunaj. His irresistible charm inspired us to name this project at the AVALON residential complex in his honour.
Access to the terrace is integrated from a cosy bedroom adorned with expansive panoramic windows. The pleasant mint hue of the walls, combined with the warmth of the wood on the desk, creates a welcoming atmosphere that fosters comfort and positivity throughout the seasons. The use of raw linen in the upholstery further enriches the room’s stylistic appeal, enhancing its overall design.
