AVALON PRIME is a contemporary interior design project in Lviv, envisioned as a second home for a young family. A space where rest, functionality, and aesthetics are harmoniously intertwined with the rhythm of urban life.
In the heart of Lviv, within the premium residential complex AVALON PRIME, the design studio KOSHULYNSKYY & MAYER realized a sophisticated apartment interior — a second home created for a young, dynamic family. This space was designed for effortless urban living, where time is limited but the need for a cozy personal retreat remains a top priority. While the clients primarily live outside the city, they frequently travel to Lviv for work and business. That’s why this apartment had to be practical, intuitively comfortable, and aesthetically refined all at once.
The core idea of the project was to create an interior design that focuses not on decoration, but on essence. The entire concept is grounded in clean lines, noble materials, and a thoughtful spatial layout. No visual overload — just calm, light, and natural logic.
The simplicity of the apartment’s composition is elevated by a soft color palette. Natural textures — wood, stone, and matte finishes — create a serene, breathable backdrop that enhances the feeling of elegance and airiness.
The decision to leave the panoramic windows uncovered was entirely intentional. This approach offers a full view of the mature trees outside while allowing daylight to flood the interiors. Not only does this reduce the need for artificial lighting, but it also creates a tranquil mood closely connected to nature. The interior seems to dissolve into its surroundings — clear, light, and transparent.
A sliding system leads directly to the open terrace, blurring the line between indoors and outdoors. It feels like you’ve escaped the city, even though you’re still in the heart of Lviv.
At the center of the layout is an open-plan space that includes the kitchen, living room, and dining area. This is where everything important happens — from morning coffees to evening dinners and lively conversations with guests. The interior design here inspires not only with aesthetics but with rhythm and atmosphere.
The kitchen island, made from dark natural stone, is softly illuminated from above. It is complemented by a sculptural pendant lamp from Luce Plan — more of an art piece than a fixture. All kitchen equipment is built-in and hidden behind minimalist facades, continuing the idea of visual clarity and functional design.
The bedroom is designed like a hotel suite — focused on peace, simplicity, and recovery. A plush headboard, muted lighting, and natural-toned textiles create an environment for winding down after a hectic day. Nothing feels random: every detail supports calm, order, and renewal. This is an interior design that considers how you feel, not just how things look.
One of the gems of this interior is the luxurious bathroom. Featuring sanitaryware from Cattelan and a sculptural tub by Italian brand Treesse, the space is dressed in dark tones and textured ceramic stone. A large window brings in daylight, adding to the spa-like experience — minimalist yet striking, practical yet indulgent.
Two types of lighting define the mood of this interior: daytime illumination from open windows, and soft ambient lighting for the evening. A combination of track systems, recessed fixtures, and accent lights allows the apartment to easily shift from intimate relaxation to dynamic hosting.
The interior design of AVALON PRIME is not about display — it’s about meaning. Built on the values of responsible consumption, long-lasting quality, and inner balance, this space avoids excess. It doesn’t compete for attention; it invites stillness. It’s the kind of place you want to stay — even if it’s just your second home.
