The only changes made were the addition of an open terrace to the kitchen and the replacement of the ageing wooden staircase. These updates were necessary for both functionality and safety, while still respecting the heritage of the house.
Thanks to all the decisions made, the design of the house now embodies a harmonious blend of the past and the present.
The entrance area of the house boasts a decorative touch with small marble tiles arranged in a carpet-like pattern. Surrounding the mosaic panel are framing, edging and passepartout that accentuate its beauty.
Moving into the kitchen and living room area, the space is adorned with minimalist large-format tiles, lending a modern and refined aesthetic to the interior.
For this project, the designers of KOSHULYNSKYY & MAYER envisioned a sleek and modern kitchen with a touch of authenticity in its delicately framed facades. Minor architectural additions allow for an exit to the terrace, enclosed by a glass system, creating an ideal spot for family breakfasts while enjoying the views of a small garden.
In the living room, light classical motifs complement the space, with the focal point being a stunning marble fireplace that took over half a year to craft. The fireplace not only serves as a piece of art but also features heating pipes for warming the second floor, with the main source of heat being a gas boiler. The attention to detail and craftsmanship in both the kitchen and living room showcase the designers’ commitment to creating a functional and aesthetically pleasing home environment.
Cast iron radiators with decorative embossing in the style reminiscent of ancient Lviv echo the design of the fireplace, while the wooden doors with reliefs play a similar role in tying the interior style together. These details seamlessly blend to create a cohesive aesthetic throughout the home.
The master bedroom features a dressing room and private bathroom, providing a luxurious retreat for the owners. A spacious and elegant bedroom is also set up for their daughter. On the basement floor, a gym and boiler room can be found, along with a stylish wine storage room created by cleaning up the old brick walls. The attic houses two guest bedrooms and a separate bathroom. More information about the service here
